With less than two weeks left till the commencement of the iconic ESL One Cologne 2018, organisers of the event, ESL, have revealed a comprehensive list of talent that will be presenting the tournament on-air. Featured are familiar faces, as well as some that we don’t see all too frequently these days.

Taking place on Jul. 3-8, ESL One Cologne 2018 will once again return to the “Cathedral of Counter-Strike” – The Lanxess-Arena in Cologne, Germany. Offering $300,000 in prize money, as well as a point towards the Intel Grand Slam Season 1, the event is one of the most anticipated CS:GO events of the year, in past years branded a Major tournament on a consistent basis.

As per previous iterations of the event, a total of sixteen participants will be contending for the title. Eleven sides received direct invites to Cologne, while four traversed the European, North American and Asian qualifiers and one was admitted after securing first at the GG.BET Majestic event. Formatting will adhere to the ESL standard, where groups will features a GSL format, seeing to double-elimination, best-of-1 matches, followed by single-elimination, best-of-3 loser and decider matches.

Upon conclusion of groups a single-elimination, best-of-3 format will be seen for the quarter and semi-finals. The tournament will finally culminate with a single-elimination, best-of-5 series.
