Swedish esports bar chain Kappa Bar has announced plans to open their fifth establishment in Uppsala, Sweden. The new location in Uppsala joins Kappa Bar’s other locations in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Jönköping and Malmö.

The idea for Kappa Bar was born in 2014 but it would take another two years of hard work before the doors to the first Kappa Bar was opened in Gothenburg in May 2016. Soon after, the second Kappa Bar opened in Stockholm and after that in Jönköping and Malmö.

Kappa Bar offers gamers a place to watch the biggest esports events with friends, as well as a restaurant & bar set-up alongside its game zones. The chain was founded by Henric Lettberger and Klas Bergqvist, with recent investment in the bar from NiP and Esports legend Emil “Heaton” Christensen. Kappa Bar is franchised throughout Sweden, and franchises are a core part of Kappa Bar’s business idea.
