Server settings appears to be lost, or database not working
If you suddenly one day experience that all your games, license setups, price setups etc. are missing in your server, it is most likely because the Smartlaunch Server does not have access to the database for some reason.
Here are the most usual reasons:
- The server was started with UAC enabled in windows.
Solution: Disable Windows UAC. See this guide.
- The shortcut to the server you use, does not have the “Working Directory” set properly.
Solution: Start the server directly by opening this file from explorer. C:\Program Files\Smartlaunch\Server\server.exe
- The database is has become corrupt
Solution: Repair database using the database optimizer. See this guide.
- The database was corrupt, and database optimizer could not repair the database.
Solution: Restore the latest database backup. See this guide.
