North made it all the way to the final series of the DreamHack Masters Stockholm 2018. The all-Danish final went in the way of North – a result nobody would have predicted coming into the event.

In the semifinals North was relegated to Dust2. In the final they took a reward on the same map and won 16-1. Now, North is the winner of Dreamhack Masters Stockholm 2018. In the semifinal against Mousesports, North first lost 16-0.

“North is really bad at Dust 2, I would say. That’s the main reason why it happened”, said Mousesports player Robin “Ropz” Kool after the match. In the final, maybe it was not that strange that Astralis chose Dust2 as the first map. But it would turn out to be a bad decision. The map ended with 16-1 to North.

“In the semifinals we started as CT and Mousesports just rolled on and we could not do anything. Against Astralis we started on the T-side and I knew that if we got a good start and took control, the possibility of faking it would work, “says Mathias” MSL “Lauridsen.

North continued with fast pushes, took control and played perfectly on the T-page. The final half of the entire tournament saw North assume the role of Terrorists, and they got off to a good start by winning the pistol round. They made the most of this advantage by winning the majority of the rounds in the half and ultimately taking the championship!
