The apparel brand Puma has made its way into the esports industry by becoming the official apparel and game-day pants/shoes provider for the Cloud9 (C9) League of Legends (LoL) Championship Series (LCS) team.
Puma will become an official partner of the competitive gaming organization’s League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) team and will have its logo adorn the chest of the team’s jersey. The tie-up also designates Puma as the official gameday pants and shoes provider of Cloud9. The deal also includes uniforms for team management, meaning Puma will be providing women’s apparel.
Cloud9 was recently ranked by Forbes as the world’s most valuable esports organization with a valuation of USD 310 million.
Puma is one of the first traditional apparel brands to venture into competitive gaming, following in the footsteps of Champion and K-Swiss.
