German games telecaster Sport1 will dispatch the first eSports station, eSports1, in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland on January 24, 2019.
The pay-TV channel eSports1 will have 24/7 coverage of League of Legends, Dota 2, Counter-Strike, Overwatch, and FIFA 19. Content will be created in-house, with appearances from German esport experts and influencers. Sport1 has been covering esports since 2015, starting with written coverage on the channel’s website.
Esports1 will be broadcast across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland on the platforms Vodafone Germany, Telekom, Unitymedia, 1&1, T-Mobile Austria, A1 Telekom, UPC Switzerland, and Zattoo. However, all of the content will also be available via a dedicated esports app.
