The mobile version of PUBG a tremendous successPosted on: Sep 14, 2018 By smartlaunch in News and trends,
PUBG Mobile provides the fields of battle for more than 20 million players worldwide — every day. The mobile version of PLAYERUNKNOWN: BATTLEGROUNDS, or PUBG, has soared in popularity since its release just six months ago.
PUBG was first released for Windows through Steam in Early Access in March 2017, although it took until Dec. 20 for a full, official release. Since then, the game has also been ported to the Xbox One and to mobile, first for the Chinese market, and then for international users.
The landmark couldn’t have come at a better time for PUBG, who have seen their PC player base take a dip following the release of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 beta, which features its own Battle Royale mode. PUBG had previously broken a gaming record by becoming the first Steam title to maintain a daily peak of above 1 million concurrent PC players for a full year on Sep. 8, a streak which has finally come to an end.
