Universal Music Group Central Europe, a division of Universal Music Group (UMG), the world leader in music-based entertainment and ESL, the world’s largest esports company, have announced an unprecedented multi-year partnership to exclusively help discover and promote new artists through ESL’s global tournaments and channels.
MTG-owned eSports giant ESL and Vivendi-owned Universal Music Group Europe are planning to launch a co-owned record label to promote new music for sports enthusiasts. The companies have signed a multiannual cooperation agreement. Among other things, you will integrate music in ESL broadcasts as well as in MTG’s social media. In addition, the record company will help arrange live games during tournaments, such as half-time or before tournament finals. ESL will also help Universal Music Group Europe to look for and sign new artists.
