The British Esports Association, a not-for-profit organisation set up to promote and support esports, has partnered with UK-based charity SpecialEffect as part of World Esports Day, the global celebration of esports which is set to begin in 4 days from now on the 24th of October.

This celebration will see various organisations and fans of the esports community running live-streams and an array of UK-based activities to spread awareness of the positive effects of esports in the world today.

Money that is raised throughout these activities will go to the charity SpecialEffect, whose motto is putting fun and inclusion back into the lives of people with physical disabilities by helping them play esports games. With high-tech technologies such as modified joypads to eye-control, the charity finds a way for people to play to the very best of their abilities.

Physical disability in esports is a great cause, as it educates people on disability technology used for gaming, and highlights the sentiment that esports is for everyone.
